Biomarkers

Information about Biomarkers and related initiatives.

The International Cancer Biomarker Consortium (ICBC) aims to advance medical research and improve patient outcomes by discovering biomarkers (indicators) for multiple types of cancer. The consortium is focusing on biomarkers for the assessment of disease risk, early detection of disease, therapeutic prognosis, and response to treatment as well as disease recurrence.

The Infectious Disease Biomarker Database is a knowledge-based interface for biomarkers for diagnosis, detection, protection, and characterization of infectious diseases. It provides information of pathogens and biomarkers which are the building blocks for modeling and simulation of infectious diseases and biological processes, such as nucleic acids, proteins, carbohydrates, and immune epitopes etc.
